You know the only difference between now and two hundred years ago is modern convenience and radius. Two hundred years ago they didn't have cars to go on a date 29, 30, or 40 miles away. So your travel radius was how far you could walk or ride a horse. Two hundred years ago your selection was mostly within your immediate community or church group, there wasn't a modern convenience of a computer or a phone. So what you seen once a week is what your choices were. Even just a hundred years ago there were cheating, mate jumping and women selecting men based on visible wealth.
