  2.  @gr33kb0i  I like how you throw numbers out there with no real context. Russia became the U.S. number two all time supplier of oil just last August. Russian supply oiled to the U.S. drastically increased immediately after Biden closed down U.S. oil production pipelines. From ALL sources, the U.S. in 2020 imported...IMPORTED (average) 7.8 million barrels a day. In 2020 U.S. exported...EXPORTED (average) 8.3 million barrels a day. Do the math, the U.S. was exporting more oil than it imported. So yes the U.S. was basically non dependent non foreign oil. The U.S. is a major world oil refinery location. The U.S. at one time nearly had a world monopoly on the process until Obama muffed things up. The U.S. imports...imports but does use...all that oil to refineries who then process it for later use and refinement into chemicals for manufacturing plastic, rubber, etc and into useable fuels such as gasoline, kerosene etc etc. It's easy for people like you to go look up raw numbers, twist the purpose or meaning without any true research to why.
