The General and Defence Secretary on a news update the other day said they planned for every contingency. So remember, they planned for this to happen. Also, Vice Presidents oversee, supervise, help plan, monitor, influence and guide foreign affairs like the big picture in Afghanistan. So where is VP Harris? And that would mean during the Obama era, VP Biden had 8 years to influence things directly, that's even more time than Cheney had under Bush.

Let's hope my prediction is wrong...but... Time to bring the troops home. Rest. Retrain. Rearm. Re-equip. And about a year before the next election send them back out to the next catastrophe.

Obama did nearly the same thing when he pulled troops out of Iraq and said ISIS in Iraq were just the B-Team. Few days later they overtook an abandoned American base and drove out in armored vehicles with machine guns on top and towing artillery pieces.

@Muck006 True, CIA gave them stinger missiles to shoot down aircraft. Biden just gave them helicopters, armored vehicles, machine guns, rifles, and more ammunition you can shake a stick at. And don't think a few pilots from the old Afghan military won't be coerced into flying for them.
