  8. France is NOT a strong Allie. They asked Russia if they could join BRICS. They advised the E.U. and NATO several months ago to start distancing themselves from the U.S. and not to rely on the U.S. so much. Look it up. It's also why the U.S never has a major base in France after WWII.

The U.S. and French have and can call on each other for assistance, but it's informal and adhoc (no formal coordination or agreements. 2. They do not share intelligence as a rule. 3. They do not conduct joint operations. 4. There's no hierarchy/leadership to tie them together.
