I appreciate the sentiment, but really this is an asinine idiom (that I am skeptical Confucius ever said) that could possibly be harmful. Say I have a fear of needles and view them as harmful, so I don't inject someone with an epipen when they need it in an emergency because "Do not do to others what you don't want to be done to you" Say your kid is playing video games instead of studying for their math test. Do you let them away with it because you wouldn't want to study for a math test either. Like I said, it's a nice sentiment but it's banal pseudo-wisdom from one of those cringe corporate posters, that doesn't really hold up to scrutiny.
