  2. Irish people also speak English quite clearly (usually). They just tend to speak in a far faster manner than Americans. I'm from Ireland and when I was working in the US I would always follow the "low and slow" rule to make sure Americans understood me. The English I spoke was clear as a bell, but when it's spoken much faster than you're used to, it's hard to keep up.
