@metamorphicorder Yup, that's what people don't get. Movies are pretence, they aren't real. The problem with Seagal is that he takes himself too serious and believes he's this bonafide wrecking machine in real life. Which is highly contestable, to say the least. Doesn't mean you can't appreciate his better action movies though.

@davidnomad9750 It's not factually correct though. Under the Unified MMA rules which the likes of UFC uses, they are actually allowed. It's just they are impractical because of the wraps and gloves. You don't see wrist locks because wrists ar wrapped and gloves make them very hard to do (and they are hard to catch someone with in the first place), not because they are illegal. Even in BJJ where there are no gloves and wrist locks are also legal, you rarely see a wrist lock submission. It happens, but it's not a high percentage sub.

@davidnomad9750 No worries dude. Here is a list of fouls and you can see it does not prohibit wrist locks, and it fact it defines the wrist as a "large joint manipulaiton", not a small joint manipulation (Rule 16). http://www.abcboxing.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/unified_rules_fouls_rev0816.pdf
