  1. No idea why everyone thinks Wilder vs Ruiz is a sure thing. Yes, Wilder can crack, and yes, at some point he might catch Ruiz but... Ruiz is masterful at closing the distance. We've never seen anyone effectively work Wilder to the body before. Ortiz was able to connect and rock Wilder in the first fight, and so did David Haye (if you ever watch the sparring clips). Skillful, quicker boxers can put Wilder in trouble. Wilder looks great moving forward but is horrendous when trying to move back. He''s worst than a novice, his balance is all off. Ruiz has the movement and skills to cut of the distance and back Wilder up. Sure, I would still say Wilder is favourite because he has that crazy power and Ruiz can get caught. But it's a formality? No way. It's a competitive fight that will ask questions from Wilder that no one has asked of him before.
