Really? I think it's played out and boring AF. The man is in danger of becoming a parody of himself. It's like... Jordan Peele movie: 1) Idiotic people of privilege: Check 2) Stripped down 90s pop song: Check 3) Scratchy strings to build "tension": Check 4) BIG LOUD NOISE WHEN YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO JUMP!: Check 5) Me, yawning: Also Check.

@cabsflix8310 Hardly. Just because you like something I don't doesn't mean I'm trolling. I came on here with an open mind. I loved the original movie and the short story. This trailer didn't do it for me, sorry. If I hadn't have known JP was producing/writing it (edit) it I could easily have guessed. Maybe the final film will be better than this trailer indicates, and maybe JP can't control the marketing but based on this it looks to be the same old thing he's been doing, except with an existing horror film. And I know this is personal preference, but while I liked Get Out it wasn't scary. Didn't like Us and it also wasn't scary IMO. I just hope this film manages to illicit some genuine horror, like the first film did.

It looks kinda... crappy. The first movie had this incredible dark, forbidding terror that built and bulit. It made you question the protagonist's sanity. It was also a strong Gothic romance. This looks like a generic slasher movie. Maybe the movie will be better but the trailer makes this look terrible.

I agree. This looks like it has totally missed the tone and themes of the original movie / Short story. The original movie had this dark, brooding atmosphere and terror that built and built. It was a gothic romance too. This looks like a generic slasher movie with competent direction. Not impressed going by this trailer.

King Kosa V Wouldn't really say that now. Just the guy seems to be sticking to the same formula.

@justaguyok8609 Well based on this I won't, but if the people who make these movies want feedback to see if people do or don't like the look of the trailer, do you not think that's helpful to let them know what you did or didn't like? Critical feedback can be as useful as positive feedback.

It's not a remake though, it's supposed to be a sequel to the original.

@bigjayjay2x597 I agree with that. I think I have been watching horror movies too long to get scared easy. You start to see the scares coming after a while. Maybe if US was the first horror movie I'd ever watched I'd be terrified. But as it was, I wasn't scared.

@bayarea510 Hopefully it's just a bad trailer and truly not reflective of the final film.

Interesting change of direction... They billed the first movie as a comedy. Clearly based on this trailer that's not the genre they're going for now.

@DJGaming-XSX I used a similar (but not the same comment) 3 times. And if JP can keep using the same formula again and again, why can't I lol! And seeing as you seem obsessed with what I say, you'll note I don't actually hate the guys work: 1) I liked Get Out and I thought it was very clever (but not that scary/creepy). 2) Got bored watching Us and didn't think it was that scary. 3) Based on this trailer and the quality of the 1st film /short story, I am underwhelmed by this trailer. But I have of course not watched the actual film yet. It could be a good movie with a bad trailer. It's just one person's opinion. And trust me people who run organisations want to know what people think, whether it be good or bad. They have analytics programs and AI to scrap for sentiment analysis to see how they are doing. Negative feedback, so long as it is sincere and reasonable, can be as useful as positive feedback.
