  1. Remember how the glove expanded? It did that because it was sealed. When you hold your breath, you're sealing your lungs (temporarily) shut, so holding your breath I don't think would be the best idea. Plus, you'd be trapping less oxygen in your lungs than you normally do close to sea level because there was less oxygen in the environment in that room.

  3. You're holding less air inside of your lungs when you take a big breath of air that has less oxygen in it. Remember, air is made up of other gases too, like Nitrogen.
