  1. Ultimately it's the individual's responsibility to make good life and financial choices. I shouldn't have to pay for a kid's loans who chose a filmography degree. Don't choose a unmarketable degree and go into tens to hundreds of thousands of debt and blame other people for it. The institutions are culpable too because they shouldn't be giving loans to worthless degree programs.
