He drove around the nation for a few months and ended up back in San Francisco, living in walking distance of gay bars, he started calling evangelicals "heretics" and declared himself bisexual. He looked into becoming a Catholic, but he is not currently a member of any church.

The ex-gay movement was dead, but the anti-gay faction found Michael Glatze and are using him as a political tool to "prove" anyone can change from gay to straight if he comes to Jesus, which is a total lie.

  15. Glatze's religiosity began under false pretenses. He was convinced he was having a heart attack and vowed to be God's slave. But he really was just experiencing an anxiety attack. This whole crazy BS movie is due to that. (He gives a cleaned-up version of that just after 8 minutes in)

  17. Michael Glatze keeps changing his views. The only time he was stable was the nearly ten years he was with Benji, the gay lover he tells us he has not spoken with since a week ago.  The trouble began when Glatze had an anxiety attack (which the drama queen thought was leading to imminent death) and he turned into a Mormon preaching that was the only way. Then he left the Mormons and went evangelical. He went into conservative blogging but now speaks as if he is against politics.  He says in the video here he got to his current anti-gay prejudice because of the words of Jesus, but Jesus never said a word against homosexuality or marriage equality rights.  Glatze is speaking to us from his trailer in rural Wyoming. He told me 3 years ago he could not go back to San Francisco without "falling" back into homosexuality. Like the other few dozen "ex-gays" left, he would lose his income as a minister and his place of respect in the evangelical community if he admitted publicly he is still attracted to men.
