@Tourist1967 It's nothing to do with shame. He's Scottish born and bred, his sole interest should be Scottish. Why should his roots in Pakistan be so important?. My grandfather was Irish, I don't see the need to love all things Irish. An athlete I coached had a Pakistani grandfather, he never saw himself other than British. It's bollocks and you know it. Go and play devil's advocate with someone else.

@Tourist1967 I'm British or to be more precise English, why should I be celebrating Irish culture?. The estate I grew up in, in South Manchester was full of Irish people, they never had any problems with the English or we with them. Funnily enough they didn't go round playing fiddles and dancing either. Strange how some people can assimilate and others can't 🤔 Or more precisely won't

@scotland638 I know he's born in Scotland (Glasgow I believe) what I don't get is this desire to push his Pakistani roots. My grandfather was Irish, I've never felt the need to feel my Irish roots. I was born in Manchester and I'm nothing to do with Ireland. Why did he feel he had to dress in Pakistani attire? Completely disrespectful to his countrymen and women

@scotland638 You don't need to shove it down people's throats though. He was the first minister of Scotland and his complete loyalty should've been to Scotland. It's bad enough the wankers in Westminster throwing money at Israel and Ukraine, without him chucking it at Afghanistan and Gaza. I mean it's not like we haven't got anything better to spend it on here.is it.

@scotland638 I support both, however the Ukraine was precipitated by the EU and NATO pushing for Ukraine to join. Every country that borders Russia and the EU should be neutral Not sure how everyone thought Russia (especially Putin) would react to that. They reacted exactly as I imagined they would though. Israel should just be left alone to go in and sort the problem out. Of course civilians will get hurt and killed. Unfortunately that's what happens when you build tunnels and military installations amongst civilian areas, schools, hospitals etc. That just seems to be what they do in that part of the world though Problem solved and we can spend our money on our problems. That is just my humble opinion.
