I think the disconnect on the SI obese cover model between Glenn and Jordan is that Glenn is looking at impact on her as an individual whereas JP was using this as a vehicle to make a moral point, therefore i think he may have in the moment of doing the tweet overlooked the individual impact in favor of making what for him was the overwhelmingly more salient moral point....ie. that obesity is a health problem that leads to shorter lives and more co-morbidities.

If the 10-20% of young people identifying as tTrans stays this high and/or continues increasing and they follow through with transition surgeries, we are looking at something approaching an extinction level event for our species......trade off self-actualization against social responsibility in evolution thought provoking don't know the answer self-actualization is good but obviously we cannot survive if too critical mass of people go this route
