Wanted to get this out there - for all the truly hardcore Attila junkies. Over 3 and a half hours of the history of Attila the Hun. The video I kept in SD or else this would have been 4 -6 hours to upload, and I figured it was an audio only item. Enjoy!

Nice one! No wonder the Romans were so aggressive on the world stage - they were constantly struggling with everyone around them. Throwing out the last king was just the beginning. The conquest of the Latin League, the sacking of Rome by the Gauls, the fight against the Samnites and then Magna Grecia, Pyrrhus, the Carthaginians, Hannibal, and then the path to Sulla, Julius Caesar, Mark Anthony, Augustus - civil wars - whew out of breath.

This is it! The Life of Emperor Justinian in a 7 and a half hour video! Only the truly ultra hard core Roman History enthusiasts need apply =). Enjoy folks! Also big announcement - I've been approached by a company to create history tours and give lectures. You could join me in traveling to the locations where history occurred. Let me know if this would interest you. The full Reconquista Video on Isabella will also be out very soon.

Vicksburg is one of the most amazing Civil War battle sites I've ever been too. Standing on the bluffs that overlook the Mississippi, one can understand just how massive a fortress it was. I took a man with a massive degree of patience to take this and Grant was truly the man for the task. He didn't know how to back off.

Folks, apologize ahead of time, this is a short one. It was a difficult choice. Either cut this episode out entirely and continue on with the Castilian Monarchy with the son of Ferdinand III, Alphonso X -- OR -- lay some ground work with Portugal and Aragon so everyone gets a sense of what else was going on during this time. I hope you agree that keeping this in was worth it. Again, let me know if you want me to compile all the parts of Episode X together into one big movie at the end! All the best in the meantime and don't forget to share! Hoping to hit 20k soon - couldn't have done this without you!!

Well lovely viewers, this is the last part of Episode IX! Hope you have enjoyed the early Reconquista - I'm researching the next episode now. Please do me a favor, this has been a month of work for me to produce, if you liked it - please share on social media and spread word about the video podcast. I'm am curious if anyone would want me to compile all the parts of Episode IX into one video. It would be an hour long! Btw, I made a mistake in the intro - spelled Siege wrong. Apologies on that - I chalk it up to being a new sleep deprived father. Until the next video, all the best!!

Folks - one correction - at 7:41 that picture in the top left corner is not B Dias but rather Vasco Da Gama - he'll be in the next video =)

Fascinating man with a brutal disposition to anyone who got in his way. Military mastermind on bot the tactical and strategic level. Not sure how great a king (in a domestic / political way) he was however.

Any time - hope you are doing well - Your latest videos on Aurelian are something else!

As Pyrrhus left Sicily for the last time, he turned back and said, “ what’s field we have left for the Romans and the Cathaginians!” - as a tear came to his eye.

By the time of reconquista - which was well until the late 11th and early 12th century (4-500 years later), Europe had changed dramatically. The descendants of many of the Germanic tribes had taken up residence in England, France, Germany etc and had adopted Christianity. The Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne, the Crusades were all galvanizing forces that united western Christendom. Then you had the more belligerent popes like Urban II and Innocent III that fully endorsed armed pilgrimages.

Lovely presentation! I'm always fascinated by ship battles like this. Surprising that there were not more of them in the first world war.

@theodoresmith5272 Incas were a relative newcomer to the scene - there were a bunch of precursor civilizations. Peru has a special place in my heart. My wife did the Inca trail in 2011 and it was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives.

Nice - yeah I think its an epic time in history that doesn't get enough coverage - people skip over to the founding of the Spanish Monarchy

Do you create your own Total War clips?
