My BIL offered to help my husband assist him moving across country and we were going to pay for his return trip. Then the crash happened at the airport that’s closest, so we started looking at flights at Baltimore and he picked the airline which happened to catch fire on the tarmac in Houston, the other airport. I suggested nonstop to nearby Hobby but at that point he was considering a bus trip or rent a car since it was one way. Then the next crash happened and I told him that we weren’t concerned with the cost so select which mode that he was comfortable with. Since he was already going to take one day off from work I was worried he would have to take more time off, but he chose the bus, a 35 hour trip instead of the 3 hour flight which I booked 2 days ago. I’m sure that he is sure that he made the right choice. I wrongly assumed after the horrific helicopter/plane collision that the workers would be double checking everything and extra conscientious, but apparently not.
