But looking at our nations history we didn’t even have a free society till after the civil rights legislation of the 60s so Americans know very well how to support authoritarianism - Hoovers fbi , the lying media that held back news of the Korean and Vietnamese and afghan war, politicians who seem to get crazier and more extreme, we’re heading toward a very very bad state if we don’t wake up and come together and demand more from our leaders and each other without the moral lectures and partisan blind spots
