There is another challenge: Knowing that If you pick 3 length, it defines a unique triangle when you ignore rotation and reflection. (So we consider triangles ABC same as ACB is same as BCA) Pick 10 cities distributed around the Earth, for each city, connect it to the two closest as such that you don't get the 3 cities close to a line (not co-linear). You should end up with few triangles. These triangles are a net. Try to model that net in geogebra 3D. Prediction: it will bend and all triangles normals will have a tendency to meet somewhere...in the center of a spheroid !
