  2. As a Java dev, you may try Kotlin. You can then use parallel streams to speed things up (unless there is a rate limit). Also, I found it easier to directly use the REST API for other services. So, maybe you would too. (I know there are stream in Java, it's just that Kotlin is less verbose than Java and has a nice library) Golang is also a nice option as you can generate a standalone binary very easily and use goroutines for easy concurrency.
