Years back, I went to a medieval festival and there was a volunteering palm reader. So the guy "read" my hands and diagnosed me for anemia...he was a doctor ^^ Of course some will give advice without expecting anything in return. It never occurred that dentists would work for free, yet I had once the dentist tell me the consultation was free because it was quick and there was nothing big to do beside a small cleaning.
