  3. That's the best and most efficient way to combat tribalism before it turns into racism: exposition. If you have the means, travel a lot so the kids can experience different cultures and more importantly, different people. A cheaper alternative is to visit places that are known for their abundance of specific ethnicity. So your kid can see and get used to them. Has to be done in early ages to be effective though, after 7, it's already late game. That will simply redefine his tribe characteristics. Later, you can introduce the idea of cultural difference (foundations should already be there) and morale (to be worked actively, even adults don't have a firm grasp on it!). Yes, that's some work there ^^

  4. I went to a Cambodian wedding and I learned the dances AND participated AND had people guiding me all along. And by people, I mean native Cambodian. There were laughs, because I was not proficient, but there were no outrage. I even went to the pagoda to share a meal and I was the sole white. Children were the one looking at me with interest and grown up didn't disrespect or exclude me in any way. I was just welcome. I also went in a restaurant which is exclusively Asian, the thing was empty and my friend told me than in few minutes, it will be filled like crazy. Then a bus of Asian people came and we almost had to share a chair ^^ No real privacy when you eat! He wanted me to see that. Another thing is that they DO fat shaming. Everyone that everyone should be in good shape. So, they will make remarks if you're overweight, have long hairs. It's not to be taken badly, they don't mean it in a mean way. And work, work, work. Another funny thing is that one of the mother showed me her girls in a book and asked if I was looking for wedding. Because I should already be married 😂
