To give you a fair idea, I worked as a student in a service that did too many things manually. They were working hard, but I made their job much easier in a few days. So easy that one employee was unhappy about it and asked me if I wanted to put them out of the job. As a to become programmer, I was better at their job just because I could automate the mundane part. Before, they had to sync their calendar through an Excel file to plan activities and campaigns. After, they just had to fill in the information and move stuff around. Also, they had issues when someone was sick because they couldn't access his file version. It was that time when files were sent by email. All I did was use MS Access to connect to a database on a shared drive and create a few forms with the data they had in the Excel file. When I left, they asked that I provide a view looking like the Excel file they used 🤣 Salary also correlates to your productivity and your scarcity.
