I love how people don't believe older people who tell them they had civil law curriculum in elementary school, did cook and sew (regardless of gender). That elementary school was about foundations to be able to live in society and be autonomous. That a 12 years old was able to understand which information have to be on a contract and was able to write in different register according to whom the missive is addressed. And grading, if you had a bristle ego, would have destroyed you. Teachers did not hold remarks and some of those were pure slam. Funny at times too. That's why guys like Louis end up teaching people. Yes, that's a peculiar subject, but older people will get interested and learn about it on their own. That has been lost for a long time. I can understand that the curriculum had to evolve, but we see what its evolution brought us.
