I am a bit salty about Belgium who was providing France and Germany in the '80 and known to be visible from space (we had to light up all road to spend energy we couldn't sell to neighbors).
Now, we can't light up every road during the night and have to buy from France and Germany...
On top of that, France is going with micro reactors while Belgium is still falling for greenwashing. In few decades, we won't be able to heat our houses (yes, we are encouraged to buy wood pellets in Belgium, to use "biomass" for heat). We are going backward in many ways. Even for democracy. Vote results are being discarded, so we have to physically vote, then the government just void the result and proclaim their own... In few decades, we should expect to be a country which provide a lot of cheap labor. We already raised the retirement to 67 a while ago too. In Brussels, they are rolling a plan where the state own the housing, so people can "buy" a bit cheaper, but upon their death, the housing go back to the state.
In recruitment, you are not allowed to give IQ tests, but the state is obviously allowed to do it (Selor).
At some point, France will build a wall.
The worse in that is that I am used to Belgium and we have good healthcare and "safety nets". So, that's tough ^^
