  1. We can't always "vote them out". In Belgium, that was tried and we saw the true colors. Usually, the government has some leeway to stay by collusion. That time, it didn't because the votes were too skewed to one party. Then they simply refused the results of the elections. A year and half later, they slithered back and formed a "new" government. Also, Belgium is peculiar due to its complexity and small size and very friendly regulations for companies. It is part of the economics, hence government is also biased toward corporations. It's how we got e-id before everyone (Microsoft test) and even transatlantic internet (BE-US and BE-JP). So, not only we can't "vote out", but we have the guarantee to not be listened too. Maybe if we repeat the same vote enough time and that a country like USA comes to enforce it, it would change. We sadly need foreign interference.
