@bluedragon8762 The left mainly think that if there is no "consequence", then there should be no punishment. It's not about the intent, but the results. It's also why they think equality of outcome instead of equality of opportunity. It's also why they think it's fair that people who do not work get the same share as people who work hard. It's also why they condemn on thought and physical evidence come second. It's also very hard to explain to these people how wrong it is because there is nuance and they can't have a good grasp of it. It's not even because they are dumb, it's because they are wired differently. They get the understanding of a 8 year old.
