In my youth, we had to learn typing on typewriter...the old mechanical ones where you punched letters. And we had to stick a sheet of paper over our hands to not look at the keyboard. We also had black and red ribbons. We were able to type in two colors! And by punching, I mean it. During the first classes without the cover sheet, it was a struggle just to have letters showing decently. Later, people started to speak about "touch typing"😁
