Well, the Republican party has been giving a home to nutters for decades ... taking in the anti-communist, anti-socialist, McCarthy types; taking in the racists angry about civil rights; taking in religious extremists; taking in the crony capitalists; taking in Tea Party nutters; taking in the anti-science anti-intellectuals; and then taking that last step towards fascism with a wannabe dictator. Not that the Democrats don't have many issues, but the Republicans have been giving a home to the worst of the worst.
