@justingaines207 The question was about fascists, not the average conservative. Do the millions of Republicans, and the majority of Republican politicians, that wanted to overthrow the democratic process to keep an unelected ruler in power, represent "average conservatives"?

@justingaines207 The anti-socialist, anti-communist, anti-union, backed by rich capitalists, leaders in privatization, parts put them on the right, which isn't to say everyone on the right is a fascist. Most, if not all, seem to apply to the Trump cult, or at least most of the politicians they vote for.

@justingaines207 To come to the conclusion that democracy is anti-freedom, based solely on the current US system, is kind of moronic. Countries ranked higher on the democracy index, also seem to be ranked higher on freedom indexes, happiness indexes, etc. You'd think the conclusion would be that the US isn't democratic enough, not that it needs a "benevolent" dictator.

To compare the two is ridiculous. Awesome Edward III warred against Scots trying to keep their independence, he started a war that lasted 116 years, drove the country into debt, nobility started rebelling under the strain until he granted parliament the right to tax, which led to even more taxes on peasants, the strain of which led to a massive peasant revolt early in Richard's reign, .... awesomely awesome stuff!!
