@BittyVids What are the gang of fascists armed with, if there's an assault weapons ban? What are they armed with, if there's no assault weapons ban? Your argument doesn't seem to make sense.

@BittyVids Police should be demilitarized, and have most of their guns taken away, too. But, you're making the argument they make, claiming they need loads of weapons because criminals have loads of weapons. If they'll come out to protect the fascists you're fighting, then you're also up against body armor, armored vehicles with 50mm guns, and all kinds of shit. All you seem to be arguing for is eternal escalation.

@mjchakos1 If they keep the filibuster, they should at least revert it back to something you actually have to do, like read phonebooks for days, or whatever. As is, it's not even a real filibuster.

@mjchakos1 It's not really fair to the public. Requiring a supermajority for every single bill wasn't supposed to be how things worked.

@mjchakos1 It let's the minority dictate exactly what it wants in a bill to let it pass, or to just not let any bill it doesn't like pass. The senate is already not a very democratic institution, with tens of millions of people represented by the same number of representatives as a few hundred thousand people.

@mjchakos1 That's the "tyranny of the majority" they were referring to. They weren't referring to a simple majority of the senate, or the house. They outright designed both so that bills could be passed by simple majority.
