Bernie also wants to require employers to convert their share of healthcare ($10k per employee on average) into wages or equivalent benefits.

@Dustin Stich I, literally, posted how. Employers are required to negotiate in good faith. If the labor board oversight determines the employer isn't, the employer can be taken to court, and forced back to the table. There are also labor laws, if they're being assholes, and employees could sue them for the equivalent of what they already bargained for. Why do you think employers would put up a big fight, amass huge legal fees, just to avoid paying amounts they're already paying?

@Dustin Stich "The bill says it" means, if that bill is passed, then it's a law. Do you no know how bills work?

@joecasey93 You mentioned one thing that would be affected, operating costs, by this. Private healthcare costs are rising at almost 4x the rate of inflation. It would still save them money to drop healthcare as a cost, even if they converted the current cost into wages.

@joecasey93 Rofl, how is having them pay what they're paying now, only to employees instead of insurance companies, untenable and economically illiterate? Why do you think employers would fight paying one hand over another hand, especially if the second hand saves money in the long run?
1
@Dustin Stich You can try and challenge a law in the supreme court, once it is a law. The supreme court isn't involved with bills becoming laws, dumb dumb.
1
@Dustin Stich That's why the house and senate are called the "legislative" branch. Do you know what "legislative" means?
1
@Dustin Stich If there was a supreme court challenge, what would be getting challenged is a law. If it passes the house and senate, it's a law. Law first, then challenge. And, again, you seem to have simply ignored the labor board supervised negotiations, just so you can travel down a road of stupidity, showing everyone you don't know how the government works.

@joecasey93 From the employer's side, they aren't paying out any more per employee, so nice bullshit false equivalence to a 4 hr work day. Again ... it's a labor negotiation. Bye.
1
@Dustin Stich Hello? Is this thing on? Labor negotiation, with labor board oversight, which labor laws already require employers to negotiate in good faith.
