The NIH themselves have posted that there are no conclusive studies showing any benefit. No study that has shown ivermectin to be effective has actually passed peer review. The last big ivermectin "study" was pulled from its publication, because it was found to be completely fraudulent, with falsified data. Ivermectin is manufactured by the fifth largest pharma corporation in the world, and even they don't recommend it as a safe and effective covid remedy, even though it could make them billions, if it actually was.

Do you think street lights, speed limits, seatbelt laws, child seat laws, helmet laws, drinking and driving laws, licensing, vehicle safety standards, etc., are fascism? The polio paralysis rate is 2x lower, and the mortality rate 20x lower, than the covid mortality rate. Do you think mandating the polio vaccine for public school students and immigrants is fascism?

The covid deaths per capita of countries like Germany, Canada, Norway, Denmark, Finland, who had mediocre responses, would translate into 300k+ fewer covid deaths in the US. Better, but yes, they could have done even better. Those countries tended to quickly get their testing rates up to 15+ people per confirmed case (the US, UK, France, Italy, and Spain, had testing rates lower than 10 people, for some time). Countries like S Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand, and Australia, quickly got their testing rates over 50 people per confirmed case. Their covid deaths per capita rates would translate into under 20k total covid deaths in the US. Most of the US deaths, now, are people not listening to Biden, aren't they? The same folks Dumpty encouraged to not wear masks and rise up against lockdowns.

Canada's healthcare system is more like Medicaid for all, and is a province/federal partnership, with the provinces actually running it. It was started by one province, others followed, and then the federal government got involved and made it nationwide. Progressive politicians, TYT, Packman, MJ, and others were just heavily promoting, or campaigning for, Nina Turner, trying to add another M4A yes vote to congress, because getting enough yes votes in congress is the only possible way to ever pass M4A. @2727rogers No. The bill was actually passed by St Laurent's majority Liberal parliament (its second in a row majority Liberal parliament). It simply wasn't implemented until the following year, under a minority government. There's a difference between an actually viable third party in a parliamentary system, and no viable third parties in the current US system. The 30 year old broader progressive caucus is about 10 seats away from becoming the majority of house Dems. Justice Dems have replaced about a dozen corporate Dems in 4 years. AOC has helped replace a few in just 2 years. The most popular third party hasn't won a single seat in congress in its near 50 year existence. The most popular progressive third party hasn't won a single seat in congress in its 20 year existence, and that party has produced beautiful candidates like Kyrsten Sinema. It's a fantasy to think a third party has a shot in the US, and will get you M4A in the next century. It's a fantasy to think they'll produce perfectly perfect progressive puritan candidates, far beyond progressive Dems. Even if you somehow magically peeled away a significant number of progressive votes, to win a handful of seats, the most likely political outcome would be a Republican majority or minority government. They would most likely work with the most conservative Dems, to pass legislation, and completely ignore your insignificant number of seats.

They've both committed to no profit vaccines, and their prices per dose are on par with an ivermectin pill. But, how many doses of ivermectin do you need to take to fight off covid, exactly? A few pills and you're up at the price of a dose of Pfizer.

@2727rogers Rofl. Not what I said, at all. I clearly indicated that progressive Dems are gaining seats, adding M4A yes votes to congress, whereas third parties aren't. The "vote blue" works both ways. The vast majority of those who vote against progressives in the primaries vote for them in the general. If you split those voting groups in two, math says Republicans are then more likely to win. Dore often promotes "strategies" that benefit Republicans most, and actually move you further from the goal.

@2727rogers Imagine if everyone in the progressive caucus was third party (which includes only 1 senator, Bernie). What you'd have is a Republican minority house, a republican senate with Pence as tie breaker, and Trump as president (because Dems and progressives split votes between Biden and Bernie). Republicans would be basically in control of everything. How would a third party even having 94 seats in the house, and 1 seat in the senate, get you closer to M4A? On the other hand, if progressives get the 10 or so more seats in the house needed to become the majority of the Democrat party, they can then pick the speaker candidate for the party and set the party agenda. If the party is in the majority, that speaker could pick committee members and introduce whatever bills they wanted. Getting 10-15 more seats within the party would seem to get you a lot closer to your goal than even 100 seats as a third party. No? What Jimmy is suggesting would benefit Republicans most. Many things he does benefits Republicans most. You're listening to his words and not paying attention to who his actions actually benefit.

@2727rogers Anyone who voted Republican, because Democrats let them down, sure as hell didn't have M4A as a priority. And it wouldn't be enough to add significantly more progressive seats. Plenty came back, or came out of the non voter woodwork, to vote psycho Dumpty out of office, to get the current seating, which is what I used as my example. Yeah, the senate shouldn't exist, and the 1930s bill that froze the number of house seats also froze the number of electorals, which has made the electoral college increasingly disproportionate, all of which benefits the right, already giving them more power than they deserve. Drastically splitting the votes, while they remain united and have those added benefits (as well as gerrymandering), would be political suicide. Canada also shouldn't have a senate, btw. It's like still having an unelected house of lords.

@rtorres4132 Per NBC end of August poll ... Black and Hispanic Americans are now over 70% vaccinated. Party over Trump Republicans are just over 60%. Trump over party Republicans aren't even 50%.
