@Name-jw4sj Just because a higher percentage of the population voted, that doesn't equate to base expansion. It just means more people voted. He only went from 46.1% of voters to 46.9% of voters, while the opposition went from 48.2% of voters to 51.4% of voters. So, yeah, he created more opposed to him than he gained.

@Name-jw4sj He almost has the exact same percent of the vote. Not as many people voting in 2016, doesn't mean they voted for someone else, and doesn't mean they weren't pro Republican. It just means they didn't get out and vote. It was made easier to vote in 2020, so more people voted, for both sides. Even if your argument was sound, that means Democrats increased their base by even more millions, and the argument that he made more enemies than allies is still valid. Your attempted defense makes zero sense, either way.

@Name-jw4sj To be honest, it's hard to tell at this point, because you've started arguing against yourself along the way. When someone else pointed out the opposition's base expanded more than Trump's, you argued that the opposition's base didn't expand, they had always been opposed, but they just didn't vote before. Then, when I lay out that Trump's base didn't expand, they just didn't vote before, you argued against yourself, by defining the "base" as those who vote, which makes you then arguing that the opposition's "base" did expand. As I pointed out, about the same percentage of the population (not just voters) approved of him at the start and finish. More of those people simply voted in 2020 vs 2016. He may have fired his base up, to get more out to vote, but his style, and rhetoric, and yes who he has attacked, fired up more people that wanted him gone, and got even more of them out to vote. He even got a large percentage of those who voted third party in 2016 to vote for the opposition, people wanted him gone so badly.

@Name-jw4sj You, literally, argued the opposition's "base" didn't grow and that it simply didn't vote in 2016, then you argued that "base" means voters. You're the confused one, dumb dumb.

@Name-jw4sj By the definition of "base" = voters, the opposition "base" grew more than Trump's, because way more turned out to vote against him, than for him. You're trying to use a different definition of "base" for each side.
