Well, it's just an interim order, while they have an actual trial. They ruled to hear the case, and not throw it out, as Israel wanted.

It was a judgement to have an actual trial, rather than have it thrown out, as Israel wanted. This was all just pre-trial, so far.

@kcolonelx6181 Because they can't order a country to stop doing a thing, that may or may not be breaking the law, until they rule that thing is breaking the law. But they can say don't break the law, and provide us with details of how you're not breaking the law.

@kcolonelx6181 The ICJ has previously ruled that Israel didn't have a right to defend itself, as an occupier. Why wouldn't they have the votes?

@kcolonelx6181 Right, to determine whether the thing they're doing is illegal, like I said. If the thing they're doing isn't ruled war crimes/genocide, then they won't be asked to stop.
