@joehilner4830 The 30 year old progressive caucus is about 15 seats away from becoming the majority of the party. The 4 year old Justice Dems have replaced about a dozen corporate dems. The oldest third party hasn't won a single seat in its near 50 year existence. The Green party hasn't won a single seat in its 20 year existence. The third party route is definitely the slower route. Might be lucky to get one seat, in the next 100 years. The thing is that "vote blue" works both ways. If a progressive wins a primary, those who voted against them turn around and vote for them in the general. Any hope of Bernie ever becoming president relied totally on Clinton or Biden supporters to still "vote blue", if he made it through the primary.

She voted against the individual Defense Department appropriation bill. What he was actually whining about, was her voting for the entire f*cking budget, which includes Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, housing, etc., etc. And, like most Dore knobs, Hinkle doesn't seem to know what was in the final version of the Capitol Hill bill, after it was sent back to the house from the senate, or who voted how on that final version of the bill. AOC actually voted no. Hinkle's whole "debate" was whining about complete bullshit.

The entire progressive caucus is still about 15 seats away from becoming the majority of house Dems. They don't have the party majority needed to pick a different speaker. All they could have done is paralyze the house ... during a pandemic ... no new COVID cheques, no new vaccine funding, etc. ... all for what?

@spettit2011 Socialism and capitalism are economics. What you seem to be complaining about, regarding "socialism" is authoritarian versions. Centrist Nordic countries are perfectly fine examples. They are approximately as socialist as they are capitalist. No, less bureaucracy doesn't equate to more capitalist. Is there an issue with the socialized sectors of their economy? How does say nationalizing oil lead to the Khmer Rouge?

He abandoned adding more M4A yes votes to congress, which is the only way to ever pass the bill. He either can't do basic math, or is completely dishonest. A complete moron, or a lying grifter.
