Rvssia never wanted a Svt collapse ... They never wanted to NOT be on NATO's borders. Pvtin said the same in his very first address to parliament as PM. They just don't want NATO in states they want back. NATO also turned down Ukrn's application. What Pvtin actually got upset about was Ukrn joining the EU. Then he put an Eastern trade blckd on Ukrn.
