Even the original Greek democracy was similar to the original US version, in that only land owning men were eligible to vote, and no possible eligibility for women or slaves. Also why we have a democracy index, indicating just how democratic a nation is. Whoever does the index, however, seems to ignore things about IL. Partition was done against the will of the majority, the actual majority of what became Israel had been ethnically cleansed and never allowed to return, it is occupying all Palestine territories and not allowing them to vote for who actually rules over them. It's about as democratic as Germany, after mustached man purged his political opponents and then held elections.

  2. Partition was anti-democratic. Ethnic cleansing away the actual majority was anti-democratic. Occupation is anti-democratic. Not allowing potential voters the right of return is anti-democratic. Not much of a democracy, and never was.
