  1. No. The Libertarian party is going on 50 years old without ever having won a single seat in congress. All yet another progressive third party might accomplish, if it's popular enough, is pull away enough votes from Dem progressives, totally hand the Dem party back to corporate Dems, and let Republicans rule for decades.

  2. The Tea Party wasn't a third party, ffs. Even the most popular third party hasn't won a single seat in congress in going on 50 years.

  3.  @TheRantingRooster  The Tea Party was backed by the Koch brothers, who also applied their own pressure and funded Tea Party friendly candidates. If anything, it had more similarities to the Justice Dems trying to take over the Dem party, than it did any third party.
