Rofl. The most popular third party hasn't won a single seat in congress in going on 50 years. Taking that route is about as long term thinking as you can get.

@dragonbutt1218 Justice Dems and AOC with her PAC, just helped add a few more progressives to congress. Winning even one seat is more than any third party has accomplished. Bernie, running within the Dem party, was also a potential presidential candidate in every state. Third party presidential candidates only have the potential to be on the ballot in about a dozen states, even after 20 years for Greens, and almost 50 years for Libertarians. There's no real contest as to which is the better approach.
