  3. He didn't say "pure", so why did you? "Pure" would be a direct democracy, a system no country is using. The video is referring to those already elected representatives of the Republic, who were elected to get things done. It's still supposed to be a democratic republic.

  4.  @ChrisHart78  They were also aware that the North would likely not stand for the union disolving. So, given their reason for seceding, slavery, and knowing it would likely lead to war, how was the war not about slavery?
