Meanwhile, the broader, 30 year old, progressive caucus is 10-15 seats from becoming the majority of house Dems. The 4 year old Justice Dems have filled about 10 seats. AOC has been at it about 2 years, just backed 20 other progressives with her platform and PAC, helped add a few more M4A yes votes to congress, and helped remove a few more corporate Dems. You want to start from scratch, with zero seats, because ... ?

Dore knobs have since proved they do absolutely nothing with a list of no votes anyway. The $15 minimum got a vote, but they just keep whining about those who voted for it, rather than do anything about those who voted against.

It's usually dealt with behind the scenes, and after the election, because hundreds of votes is irrelevant to the outcome, and a drop in the bucket compared to 150m votes cast. Bringing it to the forefront, and making a big show out of it, before conceding, is just wasting everyone's time. It's propaganda.

There are zero other extra votes to be gained around them, or to the left of them. On the other end, there are 20 corporate Dems who are in the same idiological voting range as 40 Reps, plus the rest of the Republican party to the right of them. There are far more votes to be lost, or gained, on the right. That means the furthest left Dems can only push a bill as far left as the furthest right Dems will allow. If there's a standoff, there's more votes to be gained by moving the bill to the right.
