  8.  @MaryJohanna  They decided for themselves to stop publishing a few books. Publishers have been doing this since the dawn of publishing. It doesn't take the already existing printed copies out of circulation. Check libraries and used book stores. Do you want the government to force companies to print things they don't want to print anymore?

Apparently, part of the problem with The Hill comment section is people who can't do a quick Google search before spreading complete bullshit. Seuss, himself, wasn't proud of some of his earlier racist stuff, and whoever owns the rights can do whatever they want, for whatever reason they want. It's not like people are holding books burnings, or actual bannings, like with Harry Potter books.
