It is cheaper for the US to send its Alaskan oil directly across the Pacific to China, its Texas oil directly to Mexico, and then Albertan oil to the NW US. Especially considering Canada gives the US a 15% discount. Overall, counting all the countries, the US ends up being a net oil exporter. All you're asking for is higher oil prices, to get Texas or Alaskan oil to the NW US, and no discount. Even Canadians don't get discounted oil. It's the US that has been ripping Canadians off. We'll sell to China, if you'd rather send the Alaskan oil to the NW states.

@andrewsnyder9262 Where did I lose you? On almost all consumer trade, that affects the most Canadians, we are the ones with the trade deficit. Then we hand you 15% discounted oil, so you can sell yours to China and Mexico.
