  1. Canada has about the same number of beds per capita as the UK and Sweden, which is more than over 100 other countries. Sure, room for improvement, but you seem to be exaggerating.

  2.  @findme7862  Sounds like you're describing pretty standard ICU triage and recovery areas, that I've seen in the US, UK, and Canada, before they assign you a room in the proper ward, if you'll be staying in the hospital. Where is it they have individual ICU rooms for every patient? No, you're just lying about the cancer wait. Hip replacement, maybe.

  3. Although it's called Medicare, it's more comparable to the US' Medicaid, so Medicaid for all.

  4.  @DobeMom  Canada's healthcare system is actually numerous systems, run by individual provinces, with the federal and provincial governments each paying in. That's more like the US Medicaid system, rather their Medicare system.
