@cadec1086 It's not against the law to seek asylum. None of them have been charged and given a day in court. Even if adults had broken the law, what does that have to do with kids? If social services took a kid from some criminals taken away by cops, why would it be okay to lock that kid up?

You're lying. Requests to leave also have to go through the court, because it affects reentry.

You just justified the way they're being treated, and they are being treated like crap, simply because they came seeking asylum, which isn't illegal. The US doesn't actually have a political "far left". Zero US politicians are calling for perfect economic equality and an end to capitalism. What you hate is the far right (plenty of politicians do promote extreme right Ayn Rand views) and centre-left (Bernie, AOC, and other progressives point at centrist European countries to emulate)?

@carlauclair8748 Ummm, if there were "open borders", there wouldn't be such a thing as people being tossed in camps for crossing an imaginary line. Right? Trump is vowing to veto humanitarian aid, as we speak. ICE obviously does have a large budget. Isn't it more about allocation of what funding there is, rather than no funding?
