It's already written into the primary process, for both parties, dingus. If someone drops out, their delegates go to the convention unassigned. If nobody has enough delegates to win, the convention can vote to give them to whoever they want. Dems had their early vote, to beat state deadlines, and she won.

Each state has their own rules, and each party has rules, for this exact scenario. There are also rules for if you maroons want to now ditch Trump.
