For $44b, Musk could have bought every US homeless family a $100k house, but instead wanted to be dictator of Twitter.

@ecospider5 A third of the homeless population are families. I wasn't considering splitting up families and giving kids and couples a home each, like you.

@ecospider5 That would literally still be throwing money (property of value) at it. You're incoherent.

@ecospider5 Except the department of housing and urban development says $20b could solve homelessness, in the US, since 65% of the homeless are already being sheltered. It's 35% that are on the streets. More money is what's needed. Also, money would solve world hunger. Musk was given a plan to end global deaths due to hunger, for $6b, which he didn't end up donating to.

@ecospider5 Again, you're incoherent. You first argued it is a political issue, and argued for the government assigning and paying for a percentage of all building as affordable housing. Now, you don't trust the government stating how much it would cost. The original argument was for all billionaires, not just one, to step up. $6b to get 42m people off the brink of starving to death, 9m of which do die every year, is a heck of a plan. How do you think the issue can be solved without money?

@ecospider5 "However, he said the data does not separate food that is sold to countries from that is donated as aid. "At the very least, food imports are not harmful, as some people have suggested," Jenkins said. "It may be that if we could separate the various forms of food imports we would find that food aid - food that is donated -- actually does help reduce hunger.""

@ecospider5 And yet the 30 year old data you cited couldn't conclude that direct food aid wouldn't help.
