@khit007 That's how all insurance works. Those not needing it pay for those needing it. The more you spread out the cost, the cheaper it ends up being, for everyone, and everyone will end up needing health insurance one day ... unlike maybe house or car insurance, that you could end up never needing but still pay for.

@alymayz928 Instead of saying the word "tax", try saying the word "cost". Americans are already paying for health insurance. Just transfer that current cost to a universal insurer, and there's less administration costs, since it's all the same. Plus, a universal insurer can negotiate down drug and procedure costs, as well. It would end up costing you less, in the end. Yeah, your "tax" would go up, but your "cost" would go down.
