@cooldrop02 He's blaming his state governor, who isn't the one who can afford to pay people $20k to stay home for 2 months, for locking down without paying them, when it's the federal government who should be paying people. Plus, encouraging people to defy lockdown, spread the virus, and kill even more friends and family, seems a bit nutty of a response.

Dan Wruck The lower end plague death rate is also about 1%, in developed countries, if you want to keep things in perspective. Playing right into GOP hands won't get anyone any money from the federal government. They want you to open up, get back to work, and kill yourselves off, rather than pay you.

@cjohnson3836 Governors don't represent you at the federal level. They can ask for things, but don't get to vote on things. The House and Senate represent you at the federal level. Those are the politicians to go after. Playing into the hands of the people who can authorize paying you, but don't want to pay you, by rising up against the wrong branch of government, and spreading the virus and death, while your at it, is ignorant.

@cjohnson3836 Your state representatives represent you in the state legislature, or general assembly, at the state level. Like a governor, a mayor can ask for things, but they have no actual power when it comes to getting the thing asked for. All the power in getting the thing asked for lies with those who can give it, which are those who vote on giving it, or those who can write executive orders to give it. Explain how you think a governor can get 20k per citizen from the federal government, without the federal government agreeing.
