  1. Yang is relying on Americans not knowing how a VAT actually works. It taxes consumers, not corporations, as he dishonestly promotes. Mixed with his UBI, his plan will make giant corporations, like Amazon, and the super rich, like Bezos, even more money. It won't make them "pay their fair share", as he claims.
